Google SVP Hiroshi Lockheimer indirectly tells Apple to expand support for RCS – which is considered a large increase for SMS text messages.
In fact, Lockheimer smoothly indicates that Google is ready to help Apple also do it.

Google has pushed RCS as the default SMS service for Android phones but there is no word from Apple whether the iPhone will support RCS or not.
In the Android ecosystem, RCS can set standards for SMS but the problem occurs when iPhone users send text messages to Android friends.

Dechambeau uses an Android phone that adds green bubbles to the Imessages group chat.
The official Android Twitter handle responded by saying, “The next Green Jacket for King Bubble Green King” and Lockheimer quoted a tweet with “truly RCS solutions” (RCS) not to break the group chat.
