Thiruvananthapuram: The opposition accuses that the government colluded with the adani group which is the reason why the Vizhinjam Port is increasingly delayed.
The opposition leader VD Satheesan said the mystery that the government did not take legal action or slap fines for delays in part of the adani group who failed to complete the project on time.

The government cannot do anything other than to surrender land, obtained by the previous UDF government, to the group.

Only 850m is finished, said Satheani.
He asked the government and Adani Group not to sabote the project and finish it in a time bound.
The government has signed an agreement with Adani Vizhinjam Port Pvt Ltd.
for the construction of the internal Multipurpos Port, Vizhin International Versatility Port project, on August 17, 2015.
The day scheduled to solve the project (according to the agreement) is the 1,460 day after signing an agreement, which falls at 03 December 2019.
However, this project cannot be completed on time for several reasons.
Now, the company has been looking for up to 2023 to complete the project.
