Rajkot: A week after the mysterious death of his wife, the 27-year-old Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) of the Aspiran ended his life at Lake Randarda on the outskirts of the city.
On Tuesday, the police fished Mahesh Chaniyara, a resident of Amarnagar on Jalan Dudhsagar in the city, from Lake Randarda after several locals told them.
He was identified from the photos provided by his family to the police.
Mahesh and Shitier married two years ago and both wanted to clean the GPSC and secure government work.
The source at the A-Division police station, who investigated this case, said that the death of Shitor prematurely left Mahesh was completely broken hearted.
On January 22, he left home without taking his cellphone or his wallet after completing the post-death ritual from his wife Shit.
The family has filed a complaint of the missing person with the Thorala police station.
Mahesh’s father had a tire puncture shop and he was an elder among the two brothers, on January 13 morning, Shiti had left the house told Mahesh that he would go to the government library at the Malaiviya Chowk to study.
However, he did not return until late at night.
On January 14, Shital was found unconscious in the Industrial Shapar-Veraval area.
He was rushed to a civil hospital Rajkot, where he died on January 17.
Shiti was identified from the identity card she was carrying.
