New Delhi: Delhi Police Wing Economy Wing has arrested a 43-year-old man for allegedly being a racket that delayed around 40 people with the pretext of getting a job by train by train.
The police said the defendant had deceived candidates for around Rs 2.5 Crore and even organized a fake training program in Dehradun as part of con.
According to the police, the defendant has been identified as Mohammad Raghib Firoz from Greater Noida.
Firoz holds a postgraduate degree in psychology and diploma in journalism and mass communication.
“The defendant coordinates all racket activities, including the collection of money from the victims, filling various forms of appointments and training, other than other parts of Con,” said R k Singh, the additional police commissioner (economic wing).
Singh said that two people, Brij Kishore and Sachin Kumar were arrested in this case before.
The people who were arrested told the police that 40 prospective work was reduced by the RS 2,44 crore tone by them.
Most of the victims come from low-income families in villages around Agra, Hathras and Patna.
Investigation revealed that someone accused of posing as an IAS officer and lying to the victims about having good acquaintances and connecting with the railroad council, while others regulate the fake job training session for the target.
Appointment and fake training letters were issued, fake medical examinations were carried out, and three-month job training was also held in Dehradun to gain their trust.
Probe revealed that the victims did not know about the existence of the defendant, except for their telephone numbers.
“The defendant used to meet the target at the hotel in Paharganj and near Bhawan train in Delhi.
Through the manual and technical supervision, our team tracked the third accused of Greater Noida.
He was arrested and taken for the detention of police custody,” Singh added
