Athens: Greek Authority has launched a search and rescue operation off the coast of the East Chios Island after the Relectivity transport migrants from Turkish Beach sinks early on Tuesday.
The coast guard says 20 people have been saved and seven are further believed to be still missing.
Rescue helicopters and two coast guard ships and the nearest private boat took part in the operation.
Greece was the main entry point for refugees and migrants who entered the European Union during the 2015-16-16 crisis but the number of arrivals had declined sharply for the past two years in part because of the harder police steps.
The European Union Border Protection Agency, Frontex, has also increased support for Greek border guards and coast guards.
