Athens: Greece’s authority has evacuated several regions in the north of Athens as a wild fire to sweep the hillside forest and threaten the house despite a large operation installed by firefighters.
Five water drop aircraft and four helicopters were used on Tuesday to fight fire outside the Stamata area, 30 kilometers (18 miles) northeast of the capital.
Residents in the area receive a warning of cellphones and are being urged to keep the door and window closed to avoid smoke exposure and prevent hazardous splashes from blowing in the house.
Dozens of firefighters were also deployed on the ground to try and contain fire, who sent the smoke in Athens.
