New Delhi: Tax Revenue of goods and services collected in December 2021 more than Rs 1.29 lakh Crore, 13% higher than the same month last year, the Ministry of Finance said on Saturday.

The dirty GST income collected in December 2021 is Rs 1,29,780 Crore, where CGST is Rs 22,578 Crore, SGST is RS 28.658 Crore, IGST is Rs 69,155 Crore (including RS 37,527 Crore collected on imported goods) and Cess is RS 9,389 Crore (including RS 614 Crore collected on imports of goods), “said the Ministry of Finance in a statement.
Revenue for December 2021 was 13% higher than GST revenue in the same month last year (Rs 1.15 Lakh Crore) and 26% more high from December 2019.
The average collection of gross GST monthly for the third quarter (October-December) the current year is 1.30 lakh crore against a monthly collection of the average Rs 1.10 lakh crore and Rs 1.15 lakh crore in the first quarter and Second.
“Coupled with economic recovery, anti-avoidance activities, especially actions against fake billers have contributed to GST increases.
