Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday said that receiving prizes during Diwali was also a form of bribery and government employees to be ordered under the prevention of the Corruption Court if they were arrested involved in corrupt practices.
In a statement issued during the day, ACB said his officials had been told to guard the watch and become alert to capture government staff who accepted bribes in the form of prizes in Diwali, adding that it was a tradition where the home and company entrepreneurs, were connected with the government for the benefit Business, give gifts.
“However, receiving such diwali prizes is also corruption.
In many cases, officials receive expensive articles, gift vouchers, air travel to foreign countries and stay in expensive hotels.
