Ahmedabad: Gujarat High Court on Thursday asked the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court specifically to postpone the examination of witnesses and prosecution trials after several accused in the case of different fake currencies had been looking for regular security money which quoted slow pace of trial.
HC also said that the court court should not need the opportunity to accuse complaining about delay in the trial.
In a case where the defendant was behind bars for the past five years, Nia added the number of witnesses on the list for the check, but after HC observations that the process had to be accelerated by the trial court, the prosecution limited the list to 34 witnesses and convincing HC that their examination would More than two months.
Justice J B B B Pardiwala and Justice Niral Mehta posted a guarantee application on February 24 for hearing and directed the Nia court to do the case on day.
