Rajkot: A 54-year-old Nairobi man was tested positive for the Omicron variant in Junagadh.
He landed at Ahmedabad airport on December 26 and the sample was taken.
He came to Junagadh through road and the exam report was positive.
The man shifted to the Omicron ward from Juanagadh’s civil hospital and then the sample was sent for the genome sequencing.
At present, two suspected Omicron patients are being treated in a civil hospital.
In the total Rajkot district of 32 people were tested Covid-19 positive where 21 came from the city.
According to Rajkot Municipal Corporation, a 18-year-old young man, a 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl was those who tested positive on Friday.
At present there are 154 active cases in Rajkot City.
In the city of Jamnagar 14 people were tested positive on Friday.
