But Lata Mangeshkar never appeared in any advertisement throughout his career except one! Lata Didi, The Singing Diva, appeared in advertisements for the pharmaceutical company based in Gujarat.
In the 1990s, he acted in commercial for cough syrup, glycodin produced by Alembic Pharmaceutical Ltd.

The pharmaceutical giant has roamed Mangeshkar because it is a commercial related to a soothing and clear voice.
“In all of his career, which stretched more than a few decades, Lata Mangeshkar Ji had made his voice melodious to one and only one ad, to glycodin – our products,” said Malika Amin, all the time of the director.
