Chennai: Couples from the outskirts of Chennai Porur are in detention at the Dirvenue Intelligence Directorate (DRI), which recently intercepted the delivery of 3,000 kg of heroin, worth RS 21,000 Crore in the international market, at Port Mundhra in Gujarat.
The Delhi and Gujarat team had brought Govindaraju Durga Purna Vaishali and her husband Machavaram Sudhakar away from their homes had lived for several years in Kabolapkam near Gerugambakkam in a porur.
Official sources said Dethuth Dri did not believe the couple was the mastermind and wanted to know the Bigwigs behind the shipment of heroin, which was found in Mundhra in two containers in the middle of the talcet powder.
The container was sent from Kandahar in Afghanistan and imported through Port Abbas Bandar Iran by the company Vijayawadareegistered, Aashi trading company.
Officials say Vaishali has taken GST registration for the company in August 2020 with his mother’s address, who lives in Satyanarayana Puram, Vijayawada.
Telangana police said everything they knew about the case was that the address mentioned in shipping was Vijayawada, DRI officials had confiscated cellphones and laptops, apart from several external drives and external hard disks from the pair of pairs.

DRI officials have arrested four Afghan citizens and Indian citizens from Delhi in the last two days.
They have also seized 20kg heroin and 8kg cocaine.
