Ahmedabad: With Diwali and Chhath Puja just around the corner, the Government Gujarat on Thursday announced a two-hour relaxation at night timings in eight big cities for the next month.
At present, the night hours are valid from midnight until 6am at Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Letters, Vadodara, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar and Junagadh City to prevent the spread of Coronavirus infection.
From October 30 to November 30, the evening limitation will take effect from 1am to 5 in the morning in eight of these cities, the government liberation said.
According to new guidelines, commercial companies including APMC, shops and beauty salons in eight of these cities can operate up to 12 nights.
The restaurant can remain open until 12 nights with 75 percent residence, while shipping houses and take-away services are also allowed until midnight, the release is stated.
The cinema room can function with a capacity of 100 percent throughout the state.
The public meeting on the occasion of New Year Gujarati must be held by adhering to standard operating procedures (SOP) for Covid-19 previously issued, the government said.
The social blasphemy norm and the use of masks must be followed, he added.
No more than 400 people can gather in one place for the new year and the celebration of the Puja Chhath across the state, the government said.
