Gandhinagar: The Country Cabinet made a decision on Wednesday to provide water for irrigation to farmers for their rabbi plants.
Water will be released from various reservoirs for irrigation from Saturday, October 30, spokesman for the State of the State of the Exjections Vaghani told the media on Wednesday.
The Minister also urged farmers to register on October 31 to sell land of peanuts and rice with minimum support prices (MSP).
So far, 2.53 lakh farmers have registered to sell peanuts, while 37,000 farmers have registered to sell their rice plants.
“The state government will begin to provide water to farmers from Saturday to irrigate their rabbi plants.
Dam has been identified in Sautrashtra, South Gujarat, North Gujarat and Central Gujarat, from which water will be transferred to irrigation.
Water will be given based on the availability and demand from farmers , “Vaghani said.
Speaking while traveling to promote Khadi in the Ministry of Education, Vaghani said that earlier this month, on October 25, around 1.17 meters Lakh Khadi was worth more than Rs 4 Crore bought by employees of the Ministry of Education.
