Ahmedabad: After a gap 31 days, Gujarat recorded the death of a covid patient on Tuesday.
A patient in Junagadh district died, taking dead to 10,083.
The previous death was recorded on September 3.
Gujarat in the last 24 hours added 23 new Covid cases, recorded a 64% surge compared to the case on Monday.
New cases include 7 of Valsad, 5 from the city of Letters, 3 of the district letter, 2 of each of the Kheda and Kota Rajkot, and 1 from Ahmedabad and Vadodara cities, Junagadh and Navsari districts.
The active case in Gujarat again touched 180.
District analysis revealed that three South Gujarat Regency – Letters, Valsad and Navsari – contributed 50% of active cases.
Ahmedabad contributed 24% of the case.
Experts suggest caution to the increase in cases and urge citizens to comply with covid safety rules.
