Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar: Gujarat recorded a large surge in the case of Covid daily on Tuesday right in front of a large ticket Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) and pre-events starting from Wednesday.
Within 24 hours 5 pm on Tuesday, the state added 2,265 new Covid cases – the highest in the last 221 days or seven months.
Compared to tally Monday of 1,259, it was a daily leap of 80% – highest in the last seven days.
Five officers of Gujarat Kejarat Kejarat cadres include two functions of the Ministry of Health and the Welfare of the Family tested positive or suspected of having an infection following symptoms.
Officials include Manoj Aggarwal, Secretary of Additional Head (Health & Family Welfare), Rajkumar Beniwal, City Administration Commissioner and MD GUDC; J p gupta, principal secretary (finance), hareet shukla, tourism secretary, and jai prakash shivahare, state health commissioner.
The CMO source said that the fifth had been tested positive for Covid-19.
Manoj Aggarwal, J P Gupta and Hareeet Shukla have tested positive for the second time.
They were first infected during the second wave.
The Chair plays an important role in regulating VGG or combating Covid in the state.
The city of Ahmedabad appeared as a massive surge center as a double daily case in the last 24 hours from 631 on Monday to 1,290 on Tuesday.
The city accounts for 57% of everyday cases in the highest state for any city in the past six months.
Ahmedabad’s TPR among the top 5 in the analysis of the weekly test level (TPR) by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare shows that TPR Ahmedabad for Sunday 28 December – January 3 is 6.5% – found 65 positive patients every 1,000 test out.
It includes five major in cities with more than 30 lakh populations.
For comparison, Delhi has a 6.4% TPR, Chennai 4.9%, Bengaluru 2.2% and Hyderabad 0.3%.
The top TPRS includes Kolkata (38%), Mumbai (13.9%), Gurugram (8.9%) and Thiruvananthapuram (7.7%), among others.
Given the increasing cases in the state, members of the Gujarat Branch of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) urged the state government to prevent major public events, and reduce the capacity of malls / multiplex / restaurants, etc.
