Vadodara: A 43-year-old woman accused her husband to deceive him from Rs 29 Lakh and filed a complaint to cheat at the police station Ijigunj.
Priya Parikh, a resident of Subhanpura, told the police that her husband Bhavin Parikh took a loan on his name and did not pay installments.
Priya also accused Bhavin married her without divorcing her first wife.
According to his complaint, he met Bhavin when he worked for a company in Ahmedabad.
Priya, who was previously married, has divorced his first husband in 2014.
Bhavin told him that he was also a divorce and proposed him to get married.
The couple tied the wedding knots in August 2014.
After staying at Ahmedabad for one and a half years, they shifted to Bhavin’s house in Vadodara.
But Priya did not get along with Bhavin’s mother and sister so they shifted to rented accommodation in Subhanpura.
Priya accused her complaint that Bhavin started his own business and told him to open a bank account in his name.
He then took a credit card in his name and took a loan worth of Lakh Rupee.
But he could not repay the loan and Priya said that he spent money for some personal purposes.
Bhavin then assured him to mortgage his family home to take a loan Rs 15 lakh.
He paid installments and then did not pay the emis loan.
He learned that he had used the money again for personal purposes.
