Gurugram: The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has begun repair of annual roads in several sectors located adjacent to Delhi-Jaipur CarrieGeway from the National Highway 48 (NH48).
Stretching, located in the sector 45, 46, 51, 52, 45, 52, 47 and 49, falls on the left of NH48 and the house of several commercial spaces, office buildings, hospitals and housing complexes that are gated every day.
“As part of maintenance, we will fill the holes using the granular sub-base and web macadam, and the patches will be repaired using solid bituminous macadam or Bituminous concrete.
In addition, we will repair the path to facilitate pedestrian movements and painting sidewalks .
The road markings will also be repaired wherever they are damaged, “said a senior GMDA official.
The entire project is estimated to be worth RS 1.34 Crore.
A contractor, officials said, has been employed for a period of 12 months which will have a disabled accountability for six months.
“We have been looking for public feedback about the project and tender floating for it in June.
While the work finally began on November 23, it has been influenced by the current ban on construction activities because of pollution.
But we hope to complete the work immediately and make a trip for People are easier along this stretch, “the official said.
This is a second road repair project in the city that GMDA was initiated last month.
Before this, on November 18, the authority had begun working for special improvements to stretching from the toll gate at the National Highway 48 (NH48) to the border of the capashera.
Some other road repair projects are also in the pipeline, including special improvements from the 86th and 90 sector separator roads.
Other main stretches that tend to undergo repairs in the coming months include sector separator roads 58 and 59, 58 and 61, 60 and 61, 64 and 65, and 66 and 67.
Stretch five kilometers between Imt Manesar and Jalan Pataudi, too, will also see patchy.
