Gurugram: A 44-year-old woman and her three-year-old granddaughter died while her husband suffered an injury after a truck that quickly hit their bikes at the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) on Thursday.
In a separate accident at SPR, two pedestrians were hit by a speeding car and injured.
Inesh Devi (44), grandchildren, Seeya (3), and Pal Gaje (46) headed to the village of Kherki Daula with two-wheeled vehicles when a truck that quickly hit him.
In his police complaint, Gaje, a resident of Fazilpur Village, said he planned to meet his relatives at Kherki Daula on Thursday when his wife also insisted.
“When we left, my daughter-in-law requested that we bring our granddaughter too because she wanted to finish housework,” said Gaje.
Gaje, driving a two-wheel with his wife and granddaughter behind her, took her left turn on the SPR when a truck quickly hit her bicycle from behind and threw the three.

Inspector of Dinkar, Station House Officer (Sho), the Badshapur Police Station, said two police teams reached the place and brought victims to a civil hospital in Sector 10.
“We tried to identify and track truck owners through the vehicle registration number.” Sho said.
According to the police, almost 16 accidents occurred in this year’s SPR because it accelerated.
