Guwahati: Cotton University (Cu) announced a list of provisional provisional lists of undergraduate applicants on Wednesday.
High cut-off is expected in BA and BSC (Honors) courses as a difficult competition waiting for candidates from CBSE and state boards.
This year, the Premier State University has increased 25% of seats in all departments to accommodate more students considering a higher percentage pass.
Despite a large number of students worried about their future, given the extraordinary high score in class XII this year’s class, sources in Cu said abnormal increases on the cut-off sign were not possible.
“Last year, while preparing a list of rewards, the best performance of the three subjects was considered.
But this year, the best of four, plus English signs are being considered.
Assessing performance in three subjects will result in a curly cut-off,” The source at Cu told Tii.
Previously, Cu had to stand the sign of all applicants, regardless of the board, by applying the statistical formula to prepare a list of achievements.
But this year, there is no standardization like that it will be done.
While 25% of new seats added in each department will be provided for high-edge education council (ASSEC), the main chunks will be open to students from different boards.
In a temporary list published by Cu on Wednesday, 490 is the highest score for BSC (Honors) in the first semester (except biotechnology).
For BA (Honors) (except Mass Communication & Journalism), the appropriate score is 495.
However, it is notified that the reward list published on Wednesday is a list of concepts and a list of unpublished final achievements and quotas will be published after a correction of errors or data updates reported by candidates.
Like other universities, Cu did not publish a cut-off list before the entry date.
The acceptance process ends with and when the chair is filled.
“After the correction needed in the temporary list, the list of final achievements will soon be published.
Our plan is to complete the receipt process before Durga Puja,” said the Sanjay Dutta academic registrar.
