The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) has expected fresh rain spells in the northeastern state for the next two days after a short hiatus.
The level of mercury slipped to 7 degrees Celsius in Shillong on Wednesday with a maximum of 19 degrees Celsius.
Not only Meghalaya, other Ne countries also witnessed a sharp decline in temperature from Wednesday and tended to experience more decreasing temperatures because the region Ne would likely experience fresh rain spells in the next two days.
IMD has also predicted a storm in the area.

Sanjay O’Neill Shaw, Deputy Director General of the Meteorology Center of the Regional Meteorology, Guwahati, said Hailstorm in Shillong or predicted several rain spells on the northeast unusual.
