Vadodara: India Cricketer Hardik Pandya, who was recently appointed as the Harmedabad franchise captain in the Indian Premier League, has chosen out of the trophy Ranji this season, quoting rehabilitation.
Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) on Monday released a list of players who will play in the upcoming Trophy Ranji game.
“Hardik has made him not available for selection in the match Ranji.
He said that he was still in rehabilitation and wanted to focus on recovering rapidly,” said Satyajit Gaekwad, Chair of the Press and Publicity Committee BCA.
Hardik played his last international match during the T20 World Cup in November last year.
He had entered and exited actions due to an injury which also influenced his appearance in the field.
Baroda voters have appointed the experienced Baths of Devdhar’s dedicator as captain of the Ranji and Wisnu Solanki team as Deputy Captain.
Brother’s Brother Krunal is also a member of the troop that has an experienced and young face mixture.
Hardik absence will be a setback for the Baroda team.
He is expected to be seen in action when the IPL takes off in the next few months.
TrophyPanji was not held last year due to covid pandemic.
This year the tournament will begin in January but was postponed when Covid cases suddenly surged throughout the country.
