Dharwad: Original Harvest Cutter ‘Bheema Salaga’ designed by two high school students, Naad KD Village in Vijayapura District, has won the National Level ‘Inspire’ award.
Devendra Biradar and Karthik Narale, studying in grade 10 in government secondary schools has achieved this achievement.

Inspire – Minds Awards (Million Minds Increases Aspiration and National Knowledge), executed by DST with the National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), aiming to motivate students in the 10-15 year age group.
For the national award, 60 science models were chosen where five models from Karnataka managed to reach the final round.
The model prepared by Bidar students, Davanagere, Ramnagar and Bengaluru Redes Districs are among the five of the truth who has won awards.

The two students are experts in collecting spare parts needed for the machine and assembling them.
They have used a broken table, cycle chain, cycle wheels and other waste materials for the machine, “Shashikala said.
