Kurukshetra: Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) Kurukshetra Police arrested the person accused after recovering 4.5 kilograms of opium from his ownership in the area of ​​the Thanesar police station aware on Tuesday.
The defendant who was arrested was identified as Amarjit Singh from Pauli Kalan in the Sanan District Nalagarh area in Himachal Pradesh (HP).
Police said Amarjit was produced in the District Court on Wednesday, which gave the police 10 days back to Kurukshetra ANC.
Kurukshetra Additional Police Supervisory (ASP) Karan Goel said that on Tuesday, the ANC Kurukshetra team was present at the patrol in Pipli Chowk.
“The team received a tip-off that Amarjit Singh traveled to West Bengal on the truck of his cellphone number, and while returning from there, he smuggled opium.
It was told that Amarjit had brought opium from the West Bengal side and his truck was parked near New Bengal.

He said that a case was registered against Amarjit under the relevant parts of narcotics drugs and psychotropic substances (NDPS) acting at the Thanesar police station aware on Tuesday.
