Gurgaon: For the second time a month, the qualified population to get Covid-19 vaccination has been revised in Haryana.
According to new projections, which were circulated on Thursday, the total population of the country was 3.03 crores and a qualified population for Covid vaccination was 2.05 crore, which previously stood at 1.9 crores.
Likewise, the total population projected by Gurgaon was 26.3 lakh, including the 18-plus population was 17.89 lakh, which previously stood at 16.32 lakh.
So far, Haryana has provided 1.58.97,523 first dose (77%) and 57.40,514 second dose (28%).
Gurgaon until Thursday has given 19,75,599 lakh first dose, which means the first dose coverage of its official dose remains more than 100%, and 9.85,406 second dose (55%).
Virender Yadav Chief Medical Officer said the city tended to manage the first 26 lakh doses.
The latest revisions, which come after the General Registrar and Indian Census commissioners conducted data analysis based on the 2011 census and the decadal growth rate of each country, has increased the estimated number of recipients of 15 lakh in Haryana, with Gurgaon accounting for the highest increase – more than 1.5 Lakh – among the 22 districts.
“The eligible population has been revised upward by the Ministry of Health.
It has been done for all countries,” said Rajeev Arora, ACS (Health), Haryana.
The first dosage of Gurgaon was followed by Panchkula and Ambala (98%), Faridabad (94%), Charchi Dadri (88%), REWARI (85%) and Bhiwani and Jhajjar (80%).
Noah (27%), Jind (57%), Palwal (61%), Kaithal (68%) and SANSA (71%) have the lowest coverage.
On Friday, 48 session sites – 42 for covishield, five for covaxin and one for sputnik – will be held.
8,568 doses were given on Thursday.
