Ahmedabad: Chairman of the Gujarat High Court on Tuesday directed a police officer to distribute 100 cans of cold drinks to the bar association, after he saw the last sipping drinks during virtual hearing.
Chief Justice of Aravind Kumar remembered that he had also attracted advocates to eat samosa during the online court process a few days ago.

Enforcing officers for their behavior, the chairman of the judge directed him to distribute 100 cans of cold drinks to the association bar or faced disciplinary action.
Chief Judge Kumar further said that he both attracted advocates to eat samosa during virtual hearing.
“We say that we don’t mind you eating samosa.
But the only land is, you can’t eat it in front of us, because other people are also tempted.
Whether he must give it to everyone or he can’t eat it,” said the main justice .
He then directed the government applicant to request the Rathhod inspector to distribute 100 cans of cold drinks to the Bar Association, or he would direct the main secretary to start the disciplinary process against him.
“It was in a lighter vein so the court asked him not to drink a cold alone, but shared with other people too.
The court has also asked the advocate to share the samosa he ate during the online process,” said a PLeader government present during the trial.
The inspector has appeared in front of the court for hearing the petition accusing him and several other officers beat two women at the intersection of traffic, he said.
Police Commissioner on Tuesday ordered an investigation into this issue by the DCP level officer, directed that the report was submitted in 10 days, he added.
