Madurai: Observing that the death penalty is excessive and disproportionate with gravity of crime, the High Court of Madras on Friday shows a death sentence given to a man for a life sentence in a case where he decapites property disputes in 2018.
Thilagarani who has died married Thangarasu and they have five sons, including the anand convict which is their first son.
In 2007, Thilayani allegedly killed her husband for family disputes, however, the court had released him.
Anand often takes a fight with his mother on the property.
On March 18, 2018, when the Thilayur bus stop was waiting at the Malaiyur bus stop to go to Pulajottai, Anand who came to his attacking place using Billohook and beheaded his mother.
Malaiyur police have registered a case with respect to this incident.
On October 1, 2021, the Pulajottai Mahila court was punished and imposed a death penalty in Anand for violations under the 302 IPC section.
Because the death sentence was forced on the defendant, this case was called the HC bench Madurai, to confirm the sentence.
Anand also prefers a challenging belief and punishment imposed by court courts.
The division of the Division of Judge S, given the extraordinary evidence of the defendant, this court did not find any other natural view than noted by the trial court, as far as the charge was below the 302 part of the IPC.
However, the sentence section of the court court in forcing death is not aligned with the principle of settling law.
The judges observed that the court court was mistaken in its conclusion that the defendant entirely did not have a soul or an acceptable mindset for any reform.
The judges observed that the court’s court findings contradicted the defendant’s behavior after the crime commission when he went to Vao immediately and voluntarily gave a statement of recognition.
Evidence shows he gives up on the police, calmly.
