New Delhi: Pilot Project Opens 20 Health Clinics in Delhi Government Schools, where students will be given physical and mental health services, will eventually begin.
While the 10 school health clinics will be opened on January 12, 10 others will open on January 17.
The command issued by the Directorate of Education (DOE) Himanshu Gupta said, “The Ministry of Health and Education will be united to provide physical and mental health services for children through clinics in government schools.
This becomes more important especially during a pandemic when students don’t Able to blend a lot.
“Because of the pandemic, students will be called to school for screening only after receiving approval from parents.
In the clinic, students will be given a mask and sanitiser and it will be the responsibility of the principal to ensure social distance.
“Thirty students from class IX to XII can be called for screening every day.
Group discussions with psychologists will be carried out online.
The Aadmi Mohalla clinic cell will manage a pilot project working with Doe.
In each session every hour, six students will come to the clinic .
The Principal will prepare the appropriate schedule.
Nodal teachers who are responsible for the clinic will oversee the daily playback, “Gupta said.
Each clinic will have an assistant, a psychologist, and multi-task worker.
There will be one doctor available for every five school health clinics once a week.
The health assistant will refer students who come to play to the doctor.
“Psychologists will take four group sessions, each half an hour a day, two before the break and two after rest in online mode regularly.
Nodal teachers will give a link to a psychologist,” Gupta said.
The clinic should open in October 2021.
The government has announced the clinical arrangement in 265 schools in 2018.
