Vadodara: The worshipers on the Pandal Lord Ganesha were arrested by surprises on Friday night after the city received heavy rain at night even when the sun shone brightly throughout the day.
Floods flood many roads in the area of the old city in waters in the knee.
However, worshipers entertained rain and said that the very much needed rain was a gift from God.
The weather department has expected heavy rainfall for the next few days.
It started drizzling at 7pm but in one hour it began to rain heavily.
People, who came out to catch a glimpse of Ganesh’s pandal, had to run for the cover.
Cloudy weather for the past few days but there were no signs of rain.
Civil authorities and fire engines are on their toes to attend complaints of power cuts and fallen trees.
Some of the old city areas including Raopura, Dandia Bazaar, Mandvi, Panigati Road and Navapura watched heavy water logging.
The main road also witnessed traffic congestion when the people who came home from work were arrested in heavy rain.
