New Delhi: Most of the help for restaurants and bars that sell Herbal Hookah, the Delhi High Court on Thursday directed Delhi police not to harass outlets, restaurants, and refrain from parking the police vehicle outside their place.
The court said the police could conduct random checks in the restaurant and bar to check whether Herbal Hookah was being served, but could not save police personnel posted there because it would affect customers.
Justice Rekha Palli recorded a guarantee by the police that the police would not park vehicles outside the place, can be done by the applicant’s restaurants and bars they would not serve hookah until the final assignment came from the court.
Meanwhile, the High Court was told that the department concerned for the Delhi Government has been reconsidered back on August 3, 2020 from Delhi Disaster Management Authority, prohibiting the use of Hookah herbs in public places to contain the spread of Covid-19, and the authorities have reaffirmed that restrictions will continue.
The new order was passed by the authorities on October 14, reaffirming the attitude that prohibits the use of hookah will continue to be enforced until further orders.
The court then directed the Delhi government to reconsider this problem within five days and in case, they still felt a ban needed, submit a written statement.
It registered a problem to hear more on October 29.
The court has issued a prior notice and requested a response from the Delhi government on a separate application by several restaurants and bars that tried to direct the country and the police to not interfere with the sale of herbal flavors.

During the trial, the Petitioner said the government’s latest order had been forwarded to the assumption that Hookah was served in closed places and based on sharing.
The owner said they were ready to make a statement that they would serve it only in open space and disposable pipes would be used in hookah and it would not be shared.
