Minister of Higher Education Karnataka CN Ashwath Narayan announced on the Legislative Council on Thursday night that Hindi was not mandatory at every level of education based on national education policies.
The accusations against that the government forced Hindi in Karnataka, Narayan said: “I assure you no coercion to learn Hindi according to NEP.
We don’t ask or students don’t have a mandate to learn Hindi language …”
