Home Break Pwd Brings ₹ 65 lakh

Thiruvananthapuram: PWD has earned Rs 65.34 lakh with the introduction of online ordering facilities for resting homes.
In accordance with the numbers available until December 31, the collection reached Rs 65.34,301 where RS 52.57 Lakh was accepted through online facilities, said PWD Minister Mohammad Riyaz in the home staff training camp here on Tuesday.
In two months 8,378 people took advantage of a home break through online bookings, said minister.
About 32 staff chosen from various home breaks in the state are being trained in the first phase.
The training will be given in four batches this year.
Training is being given in hospitality management and housekeeping management in connection with the Kerala Institute of Tourism and travel study.
Inaugurating a training program, Mohammad Riyaz said that the department planned to turn a house to rest to the best hospitality network.
“The PWD rest house will be increased to professional standards.
Staff will be given periodic training.
In the places needed, more staff will be appointed.
There will be arrangements to ensure cleanliness,” said Riyaz.
The project for Revamp Rest Houses will be implemented in a bound time.
New buildings will be built at home breaks.
The control room to monitor the function of rest house will be executed in Thiruvananthapuram.
The election monitoring team to assess PWD’s work in the legislative assembly constituency will monitor the function of resting houses.
The PWD building part also represents the inspection team, Riyaz said.
