Bengaluru: Fast Coordination and Quick Response Bruhat Bengaluru Mahangara Palike (BBMP) and real-time response in tracking and monitoring patients praise from parts of citizens, most of which are positive covid.
With some Bengalureans choose to test yourself with the kit available on the market, mapping patients like that has become a challenge for the Civic body.
Authorities have even asked Pharma outlets to maintain a list of names and contact the buyer’s number from the DIY kit.
But the fast integration of the Civic body between someone who buys a home kit (mouse), tests yourself, and the next investigation call from the Covid control room helps to streamline the management process.
Sandeep Kumar, a Techie at Whitefield, said that within four hours he tested positive on January 17, BBMP officials called to ask about his condition.

When someone buys a mouse kit, they are expected to report the results on the Coviself application.
“If positive, the results directly to the ICMR portal, which are connected to each country and district, and bugs (Bengaluru Urban) numbers are assigned,” Chandra said.
Data from the ICMR portal is then sent to the BBMP index application, and then spread for each of the eight zones, he added.
The zonal team then summoned the person, assessed his condition and categorized him as a person who could remain in home isolation, or move to a covid treatment center or hospital.
“We also check whether it is a high priority case – senior citizens, pregnant women or children,” said a senior health official.
“If it is a high-risk case, we ensure a thorough physical triage,” he said.
