Hong Kong: Hong Kong announced a two-week ban on flights from eight countries and tightened limits on Wednesday as the authorities worried about the fifth wave of Covid-19 infection.
Restrictions were announced when the health authority explored the city for contact Covid-19 patients, some of which were on the Kingdom of the Caribbean commanded to cut “cruise everywhere” and return to the port.
Flights entered from Australia, Canada, France, India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Britain and the United States, including Perinters, will be banned from January 8 to January 21, Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam told reporters.
Lam said the government would ban in the room in the room after 18:00 from Friday, and near the pool, sports center, bar and clubs, museums and other places for at least two weeks.
The future cruise trip will be canceled.
“We haven’t seen the fifth wave, but we are on the verge,” Lam said.

Nine close contact passengers were isolated from the rest of the people on the boat and the initial test taken during the trip to restore negative results, the authorities said.

Nine close contact was sent to the center of quarantine, while the rest of the passengers and staff had to undergo several tests, the government said.
In addition, people who have been to dozens of places in Hong Kong around the same time with close contact patients have been issued an obligatory testing notice, the government said in a separate statement.
Victoria Park, in downtown Hong Kong, M + Museum of newly opened modern art, ferry pier, restaurant, shop, clinic is among the places listed.
Gabriel Leung, Hong Kong University Dean of Medicine and Government Advisor, told Public Broadcasting RTTHK there might be a “five-to-10 transmission chain” in the city.
“There is no time to be wasted,” Leung said.
“We need circuit breaker steps.”
