Udupi: Chaos applies to the Government of Karnataka Koosamma Shambhu Shetty Memorial Hajj Abdullah, Mother and Child Hospital, after nearly 16 staff receive a termination letter.
Solidarity with those who have received the letters, the staff protested.
An employee who received the letter, said that they had been stopped because of a pandemic.
Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha said that the government had discussed this issue with the Minister of Chief Justice of the Bubavaraj Bommai and the Minister of Health and Welfare of Family and Medical Education K Sudhakar, that hospitals must be submitted to the government.
The district government has paid employee salaries over the past two months, and they cannot be stopped.
“I have talked to the district surgeon to talk to staff and resolve the problem.
The government’s decision is awaited.
However, patient care has not been affected,” he said.
A senior doctor said that 58 patients were hospitalized.
Administration has provided a team of doctors.
Previously, the staff had protested after BR Life, the company NRI Businessman B R Shirty, had not paid their salaries employed in hospitals, due to the financial crisis.
