New Delhi: India Yamaha Motor on Tuesday launched the fourth generation of R15 aka YZF-R15 V4.
Here is a list of major changes in the entry-level supersport motor posters against the outgoing generation: design upgrade: different from the front tilted line line that is seen in other supersport models, the range 2021 YZF-R15 adopts a horizontal dominated design line like YZF-R1, inherited DNA series R-Yamaha.
As a result, the model looks sporty, while conveying a visual sense of moving stability.
To provide an impressive aura, the new YZF-R15 uses a two-class LED headlight which also emphasizes the existence of the intake of M.
Aerodynamic design all-new with two-functional LED lights in line with the new Global R series.
Suspension: The new YZF-R15 uses a front fork upside down with a 37mm inner tube, where the lower end (unsprung) is light, and the top end (popping up) has a thick outer tube racing to the chassis for higher stiffness.
Yamaha said this new structure offered more stability in braking, with increasing comfort and cornering performance.
To accommodate a new front suspension, the top triple clamp (Handlebar Crown) has been just designed, with the shape of ribs contributing to the balance of stiffness, similar to M1.
The first traction control in the segment: the new YZF-R15 model is also the first small Yamaha motorcycle with a manual transmission to display a traction control system, which controls the Ignition time settings and fuel injection volume to instantly adjust the engine power output to avoid excessive power output .
Gentlemen.
Fast Shifter Add: This is also the first Yamaha single-cylinder motorcycle that displays fast shifter (standard on blue YZF-R15 V4 and YZF-R15M racing), for smooth upshifts, kneeling.
This activates when speeds on or more than 20 KMPs, the RPM engine is on or more than 2,000 rpm, and accelerates.
Instrumentation Update: YZF-R15 V4 displays a new LCD cluster designed with newly inspired by YZF-R1 and Bluetooth Enabled Motorcycle Motorcycle Connect App.
The travel button / newly designed info is positioned on the right handlebar, to switch between display modes and the info displayed.
Mechanical change: Yamaha said the new fairing design reduced the coefficient of aerodynamic (CDA) rows of 0.307 on the current model to 0.293.
Reinforced subframes are tuned for a better chassis balance.
The company has also worked in a chair for easy, resistant weight shifting, and easy land coverage.
Upgrade M: The YZF-R15M version will display a special color scheme that reminds the YZF-R1M cover material, such as carbon (rider & pillion) and embroidery logo on a pillion chair, anodized blue fork hat and golden brake caliper.
