New Delhi: A 45-year-old man was arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a 20-year-old woman at her home in the Outer Delhi Mangolpuri area with a pretext of healing her illness using black magic, police said.
The defendant, Yamin, a resident of Mangolpuri, was arrested from Seomapuri, they said.
According to the police, the alleged incident occurred on January 29 when the woman reached her home with her sister.
He asked his sister to wait outside and then suspected of raping him after giving him a intoxicating substance.
The rape victim reported the incident to the police on February 12 and the defendant was arrested in two days, they said.
In his complaint, congratulations said that he felt unwell and he came in Yamin’s contact through his mother.
When his mother asked him about treatment on February 12, he narrated all the incidents to him and then decided to approach the police, a senior police officer said.
Based on complaints, cases under section 354 (assault or criminal to women with the intention of anger, 376 (rape) and 328 (causing injuries to the means of poison, with the intention of committing violations) from the Indian criminal code registered at the Mangolpuri police station and investigation Taken, said Parvinder Singh, deputy commissioner of the police (outside).
The raid was carried out on Yamin’s existence and he was arrested from Seomapuri on Monday, DCP said.
