New Delhi: A 18-year-old man was arrested by Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) at Delhi Metro Station in neighboring Noda Noida on Thursday for allegedly carrying a gun made by the country and bullets in its belongings, officials said.
Passengers, residents of Aligarh Regency in Uttar Pradesh, were intercepted during security checks at electronic city stations at around 11:50 a.m.
Bringing weapons and ammunition is prohibited in the metro and men network cannot provide authorization of the government to carry a gun and bullets.
The man, who was a truck driver, was handed over to Noida police to be investigated, they said.
CISF was assigned to secure and provide counter-terrorist protection to the Delhi Metro network in the national capital area.
