Coimbatore: The Tirupur Mahila Court on Thursday sentenced a 30-year-old man to serve a prison sentence to rape a 15-year-old girl last year.T Prabhu, 30, from Avinashi in the Tirupur district, worked in the Powerloom unit and lived with his wife and three His child.
He kidnapped the 15-year-old girl, relatives, in 2020 and raped him repeatedly.
The girl made a complaint with the All-Woman Police of Tirupur North who registered a case against Prabhu under the section 366 (kidnapping, mining or woman who induced to force her marriage etc., 5 (l aggravated) penetrative sexual attacks) Read with 6 (top punishment Penetrative sexual attacks are compounded) from children’s protection of sexual violations (Pocso).
Based on complaints, the police arrested Prabhu.
Case trial was held in front of Tirupur Mahila Court.
Judge VP Sugandhi on Thursday was sentenced to Prabhu prison to rape the little girl.
He was also sentenced to a rigorous prison for kidnapping and court fined 15,000 for him.
The court ordered that his sentence must go together.
