Noida: A 20-year-old woman was found killed in her rented room in the Noida 94 sector on Thursday.
In police complaints, her husband, street food vendors, claimed that he left home to work around 10am on Thursday and returned 6pm just to find the door closed from the outside.
When he finally managed to enter the house, he found his wife being killed, with several wounds on his face and body.
“When I returned home at night, I found the door locked from the outside.
I tried calling him but he didn’t respond.
After a brief struggle, I managed to open the door and go inside just to find my wife lying on the floor, covered with a blanket.
I suspect he was raped too, “he told the police.
After the woman’s husband took off the blanket and found him dead, he immediately told the police.
A team immediately reached the place and rushed to the district hospital, where he was declared dead by a doctor.
“Based on complaints from the woman’s husband, we have registered a murder case (under IPC part 302) in sector 126) in this sector police post.
The forensic team then gathered evidence from that place,” said Rajesh S, DCP (Noida).
“The body has been sent for autopsy and we are waiting for a report.
If the post-mortem report confirms the rape, we will add a charge in FIR.
Our team questioned the neighbor and relatives of the woman.
We will immediately arrest the perpetrators of the crime,” DCP added.
The couple married in Aligarh last year and moved to a single room in Nauragbad Village in Sector 94.
While her husband sold street food near The Mahamaya Flyover, the woman was a housewife.
