Budapest: The Hungarian Fardsz Party can nominate the Minister of Justice and former Minister of Justice Laszlo Singitanyi to replace Janos Ader as president in 2022, the Nepszava daily newspaper reported on Thursday quoted the source of Fardsz who was not named.
A government spokesman said the government “will not comment on the press report”.
The Fardsz press office cannot be reached immediately for comments.
Ader, a lawyer, and the old member of the Orban’s Rightwing Fardsz, has become a strong allies from Orban since being chosen for the seremonial role mostly in 2012.
The mandate ended in May 2022.
Career politicians have provided solid support regardless of the occasional road lump with several Controversial reform of the ORBAN in the past nine years.
Trocsi, 65, is a famous international lawyer.
He was proposed by the Order for the position of Commissioners for EU enlargement at the European Commission in 2019 but the nomination was rejected by the European Union Parliamentary Legal Affairs Committee, quoting conflicts of interest.
The face of the Orban may be strictly contested in April 2022, when he will look for the re-election for the third time in a row.
Nepszava said the new president would be chosen by parliament before the election.
Under the constitution, a new president must be selected at least 30 days but a maximum of 60 days before the mandate ends up.
