Hyderabad: The government construction site left behind in the KPHB colony where three sank on Friday witnessed a similar incident about four to five years ago, when two 12-year-old boys sank.
After the incident, the property was fenced to stop people into the area.
Pit in 35-40 feet reported digging for construction work years ago, still filled with rainwater.
The deceased is a children of tea shop vendors.
Children have started using a small lane that passes the sites left as a shorter route to reach their school almost 10 days ago because the lane has recently been cleaned from the bushes.
On decisive days, children play with their toy equipment and while playing, they go to take water from the hole, where they slip.
“The fence is intact except for small gaps to enter but usually no one dares there.
These children sometimes use a small lane to go to school.
I have told them several times not to use the line,” said Kuntala Avinash, Regional residents.
The locals say that they saw four girls playing near the fence.
While no locals saw them sank, some locals said that after some girls had disappeared and that they assumed that the girls went to another place to play.
“After the three girls sank, the fourth girl went to the market where their family crashed into a tea shop and told them.
Unfortunately, no one was paid for him when the stall was quite busy at that time and the family thought that the girl was not serious.
In one Hours, we saw the police team and NDRF rushed to place.
That’s when we realized what happened.
We used to see the children play here and interact with them sometimes, “Avinash said.
