Beleagavi: Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar said on Monday that he was sent to Tihar prison because he did not join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Reacting to the statement of the Minister of BJP KS Eshwarappa about why he went to Tihar Jail, Shivakumar said, “I was put forward in prison for not supporting you (BJP).
I was imprisoned because of the people upset because I did not join BJP.” Further Congress leaders say that there is a record of what he said.
Shivakumar was arrested on charges of money laundering by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) and submitted in Tihar prison for 50 days in 2019.
Shivakumar questioned the BJP in power about why hesitant implementing the Mahadayi project.
“BJP is in power in the state and also in the center, then why is the delay,” he asked.
“The Chairman of the Minister of Baseavarab Bommai knows everything.
