Chairperson of Coimbatore: The Chairperson of the National Commission (NCW) of the National Rekha Sharma has written to the head of the Marshal air to look into the media report that an IAF Officer woman in Coimbatore, who was raped by his colleague, was the target of two-finger tests that were disturbing by the doctor.

In a statement on Thursday, NCW said that it was disappointed and very condemned the actions of the IAF doctors who conducted a two-finger test violating the Supreme Court’s order and also violated the rights to privacy and dignity of rape victims.
The doctors made the victim reviving the trauma he suffered, he said.
In his letter, the NCW chairman asked the Marshal air head to take steps and provide the necessary knowledge of the IAF doctor about the Guidelines that apply by the Government and the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) in 2014, in connection with a two-finger test as unscientific.
The IAF officer was raped by Lieutenant Officers Amitesh Harmukh cadre officers, 29, at the Air Force Administration Premise in Coimbatore at the early hours of September 10.
All female police arrested him.
On Thursday, the Additional Mahila Court ordered Coimbatore City Police to submit rape cases to IAF for Martial Court.
