Kolkata: Apart from frightening Omicron, students will be brought back to campus for their class from January.
IIT Director of Kharagpur v K Tewari promised to this large community of students trapped in different locations because of the pandemic, while speaking at the 67th convocation ceremony on Saturday.
The Institute has invited all students who died this year to attend physical meetings and receive their medals and certificates.
Last year the meeting was virtual.
Physical meetings are described as the first step towards normalization and opening the phase of the campus phrase will start now “omicron though”.
Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education who attended a meeting on campus, said the campus must be a cauldron where Purva Uday or the increase in East India must occur.
He asked the Faculty and staff of the institute to focus on research on alternative health and energy and became a pioneer in this field.
Tewari said the Institute was looking for new areas of scholarships and after making a sign in legal education, it will now start a full medical course for which infrastructure is ready and permission from the center is awaited.
Super Hospitals specialized in the Institute have begun to function with 250 beds and 14 specialists visiting in the OPD section.
Confocation provided the 1573 UG degree, 1253 PG, 34 MS, 333 research scholars and many other categories.
