Kanpur: The police on Wednesday claimed to have explored illegal firearms manufacturing in the Katri area with the boundaries of the Shivrajpur police station from the district and arrested two people when they produced illegal weapons.
The police have also seized around a dozen so firearms, and manufacturing tools from their ownership.
The police said that this unit was managed by the alleged history of Sheeter -Dhirendra Singh, who initially came from the chaxing Fattepur area in the adjacent Unnao district.
He along with one other person was arrested.
The captured Officer of Circle Bilhaur Rajesh Kumar said that the criminals arrested and his aides were used to produce firearms and supplied the same in all cities, besides Kannauj and Unnao.
