Kavitha, a resident of Barnakatte in the city, said that her husband Shailesh Kottari, 52, had been involved in relation to Facebook’s position against Islam and King of Saudi Arabia.
Mother Dua, Kavitha said that Shailesh did not know the Facebook post, which was allegedly shared by criminals using a false profile made in its name.
Jithendra Kottari, social worker and a BJP leader, told TI that this problem was communicated with Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Katheel.
“Shailesh, who works for a private company in the hospitality sector in Saudi Arabia for the past 20 years, has removed his Facebook account after he received a threat to share a post that supported the citizenship law (amendment) and the Indian government.
Then, he was surprised to find a page FB in his name on January 23 last year.
The post against Islam and the King of Saudi Arabia was distributed on a fake page, which was made using his name and style.
Immediately, he brought this problem to notice his employer, who suggested that he submit a complaint.

We have decided to bring this problem to the notification of the Head of Minister of Baseavaraj Bommai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah and Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar.
We have planned to meet Minister of External Affairs on November 19 through our MP.
Many Nris and Kannada Sanghas from Dakshina Kannada in Saudi Arabia have contacted us and offered their help, “he added.
Kavitha said that they did not allow her husband to make a call to him.
