Noida: The number of dengue cases reported in Noida has increased from 24 to 36 in the last two days.
However, health officials claimed that there were three active cases in the city.
Toi on Friday reported that there were 24 cases in Noida as informed by the Ministry of Health.
The amount grew to 36 on Sunday.
Meanwhile, officials said that the increase in numbers was not a problem.
They explained that most cases were reported by private hospitals after providing initial maintenance, which was why they were not active cases.
According to the Chief Medical Officer Dr.
Sunil Sharma, “Unlike other districts, we have very few cases in GB Nagar now.
The active case is a small fraction of the total population.
It is scattered and not located in a certain area.
Therefore, we cannot call it an outbreak .
“Meanwhile, government and private hospitals say that cases are increasing.
Almost all private hospitals have claimed that some cases are reported every day and reports are sent to the Ministry of Health.
“The case of fever has been high for the past few weeks and we also get dengue fever patients.
Until now, we have five dengue patients in the hospital,” said Dr.
Jyotsana Madan, PGI’s child director.
Brigadier (Retd) Dr.
Rakesh Gupta, Director, Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), said the hospital earned one or two cases of dengue fever every day.
“We get some patients with symptoms of fever and resemble dengue every day.
However, not all are confirmed,” he said.
