Written by news2in

It was a Pandemonium at the Hamlet Tribal Sarkar Porathipathi near Chadivayal on the outskirts of Coimbatore on Friday when health workers arrived to vaccinate the population.
Said they would die if vaccinated, men climbed onto the tree and the female people ran to the nearest river, refused to listen to health workers.
Friday morning, Dr Kanagarani medical officer, Doctor Junior Hariprasadh and Stella Nurse from the main health center of Bouluvampatti Trekked along the way to the village for the vaccination camp.
“The minute they saw us, they fled.
The women went to the river stating that they had to take water, while men ran into the fields and forests.
Some trees rose.
We tried their best to make them back,” said Dr Kanagarani.
However, their efforts proved futile.
Left without another choice, the team stands under the tree and tries to create awareness.
“But they asked us to leave them alone,” said the medical officer.
The team, however, managed to install 10 tribes.
Officials said a resident previously told PHC that 50 was willing to take Jab.
16 Tribal Hamlets in Bouluvampatti are home to 3,630.
From them, only 498 were vaccinated so far.
“Everything is improving.
In Mullangero Hamlet, many of the 700 residents have expressed willingness to be invested,” said Dr.
Kanagarani.dr Senthil Kumar, Deputy Director of Public Health, said the vaccine doubts were not new.
“Some NGOs have submitted themselves to create more awareness between them,” he added.
