Ranchi: After successfully working in online mode, the Jharkhand High Court attaches another fur in the lid by introducing streaming directly from Wednesday.
As a pilot project, two courtroom entrance to streaming directly from the court process.
The Judge Court Aparesh Kumar Singh, headed for a separate division bench with KP Deo and Anubha Choudhary Judge and Judge Ananda Court would live on the internet.
Separate links for direct streaming have been carried out on the official website of the Jharkhand High Court.
Click on the link will connect viewers to the direct process of a particular court.
This link opens a virtual court room and the court process will be seen and heard by viewers, told Jharkhand High Court General Registrar Muhammad Shakir.
Shakir said the concept of direct streaming of the court process after the ongoing pandemic was the idea of Chairman of the Chair of Dr.
Ravi Ranjan who was interested in transparency, especially when the court worked in online mode.
Although Jharkhand is not the first country to adopt streaming directly from the court process, it is clearly a big step in terms of transparency.
Other countries such as Gujarat, Odisha and Bihar have begun streaming live court processes, public registration added.
Jharkhand State Bar member Hemant Kumar Shikarwar said that streaming will directly help clients monitor their cases.
Today’s current work practice is limited through video conferencing between certain courts and judges.
Now, the same process will be seen by one and all who will be able to see the progress of the case.
Shikarwar, while appearing in several online cases on Wednesday, said before, clients must be informed about the process verbally.
“With direct streaming, the client will be able to enter the High Court website and see the trial through YouTube.
It will also help their advocates and clients,” Shikarwar added.
